Hastings Tactical Systems Inc. appoints George Luczko, former Assistant Director of the United States Secret Service.


Mr. Luczko is recently retired from the Office of Professional Responsibility, where he was charged with leading the development of both policy and direction for internal security of all Secret Service programs, divisions and offices. Prior to that Mr. Luczko served as the Deputy Assistant Director of the Office of Government and Public Affairs, acting as the agency’s primary liaison to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He was directly responsible for managing all issues involving DHS, including all dialogue with the Secretary and Deputy Secretary’s offices, all directorates and chiefs of staff. He was also responsible for the
development of homeland security policy within the Secret Service, DHS and the Homeland Security Council. Mr. Luczko joined the Secret Service in 1981 as a special agent assigned to the Dallas Field Office. He worked in the Presidential Protective Division, in Charge of PPD Operations, responsible for the security planning efforts required for worldwide
presidential and first family travel. Mr. Luczko has served as the Special Agent in Charge for both the Office of Protective
Research and the National Threat Assessment Center. Under Mr. Luczko’s supervision the National Threat Assessment Center grew substantially in prominence; providing training, consultation and research on threat assessment and prevention of targeted violence for federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
